SAFEGUARDING & PROTECTION

Her safety.
Before everything.

Safety and survivor welfare take priority over publicity, fundraising, donor relationships, storytelling, or organizational reputation.

Our core commitments

Dignity and respect

Meet every woman and girl with compassion and without judgment.

Best interests of the child

Use a separate child-protection pathway and qualified safeguarding support for minors.

Do no harm

Consider safety and wellbeing in programs, referrals, communication, and partnerships.

Voluntary participation

Religious activities, storytelling, publicity, fundraising, and donor meetings are never conditions for assistance.

Survivor-centered choice

Respect individual voice, decisions, boundaries, and pace.

Confidentiality

Protect personal information and confidential residential locations; explain applicable limits to confidentiality.

Accountability

Take safeguarding concerns seriously and prioritize welfare over organizational reputation.

Safe partnerships

Work toward clear responsibilities, appropriate professional qualifications, and safe referral practices.

Separate protection for children

Teenage girls and children follow a separate safeguarding and child-protection pathway. They are not housed in the adult transitional residence. Family or community reintegration is considered only when safe.

Raising a concern

A verified safeguarding reporting channel will be published here once confirmed. This website does not currently receive safeguarding reports. If someone is in immediate danger, seek local emergency assistance if it is safe to do so.
